ONE YEAR LATER - JULY 1, 2012

June 26, 2012 : JAMAICA: This marks the one year anniversary of my accident!  My best ride post accident: averaged 20.2 miles out to Palladium with an easy ride back to Montego Bay in the headwinds to avg at 18mph for the round trip- 40 miles.

I put two arrows to point to the thin line that is the scar from my surgery! Almost not visible! Dr Pepe must have been a seamstress in a former life!

Posing my fit cycling body, complete with cyclist tan lines, July 2012 - one  year post surgery!

  5. Hi, I am almost 9 months post being crushed by a horses and broke every rib and collar bone and scapula on my left side. Our main hospital was not trained in rib plaiting so took 7 months to get referred to a hospital in melbourne to be plated. I am now 8 week post op and had 7 of my 11 ribs plated. I am still very sore, I am day 10 off Tramadol etc and now feeling how sore I still am and still hurts to take deep breaths. How long after your surgery were you able to start physio and be able to sleep properly and not feel like crap. I am very much at a stage will I ever feel not broken. Would love to here your advise and how you recovered. Im writing a blog as well www.mytitaniumlife.com.au and you can see my exrays etc. I'm a mum of 2 kids used to running and riding and running a beauty salon and running a property to lucky to drive and run a house let alone laugh and sleep. I've had to sell my business and just want to recover.
Look forward to hearing from you.

    1. Oh wow. I somehow dont get notices when persons post which is a shame. I need to check the settings. So just seeing this almost two years later. Hope u are doing well Rebecca! My recovery was very fast but the first 3 months I did have to use a lot of pain meds as my body healed but after that, was smooth sailing and a fast recovery and there is no pain at all now! I am truly blessed! #onelove
